About us
Trexo Robotics is enabling mobility by building powered wearable robots. Our first product is a robot for children with movement disorders such as Cerebral Palsy, and it allows kids to walk, in many cases, for the first time in their lives. The device is currently being used by hundreds of families and the best hospitals across North America.

About the Job
We are looking for a Design and Test intern to help with design, documentation and testing of existing of new products/features and improvements to existing products.
This position is in-person at our office in Mississauga.
What you’ll do

Contribute to the design and development of a novel medical device

Design Test Fixtures and/or Write Test Scripts to Aide in testing Hardware and software

Create and maintain verification and validation test protocols and execute verification tests

Write test reports and establish traceability from requirements to verification and validation

Assembly prototypes for new R&D parts, fixtures, and jigs.

Support activities related to meeting regulatory standards and requirements for medical devices

Help keep the testing lab organized and clean
Required Skills

High interest in medical device technology

Hands on experience working with Mechatronics Ssytems

Excellent ability to problem solve
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Great attention to detail and a desire to make products better.

Interest in exoskeletons.
Nice to Have

Experience working in a medical device company or other highly regulated environment

Previous experience with Solidworks, Onshape and 3D printing.

Experience with Python Scripts.

Experience working with Linux.

Familiarity with risk management processes (e.g., FMEA, Fault Tree Analysis)

Exposure to quality management systems (QMS) used in medical device manufacturing.
Additional information
This position is a 4-month work term from January 11, 2027, to April 30, 2027. We are also open to offering an 8-month or 12-month internship. If you are interested in a longer work term, please indicate this in your application.
