We are currently looking for a a Mailroom Clerk for one of our clients in the printing industry.

• 12-month contract.

• Full-time (37.50 hours per week).

• Weekday schedule from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare mail and packages for external shipment using common mail services, including fax, air express, freight, and postal services.

• Receive, sort, and process mail documents, packages, and supplies. Notify recipients.

• Basic printing utilizing color production printers.

• Record and process accountable mail information, maintain logs.

• Shipping and receiving using an automated system to track and manage activity.

• Arrange alternative courier or shipping services to meet customer requirements.

• Determine output packaging per packaging standards.

• Verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments.

• Operate mail equipment, including mail inserters, sorters, and finishing equipment.

• Perform quality checks on outbound mail.

• Perform charge-back reporting for postage, air express, local delivery, and faxes.

• Perform mail labeling/mail merge. Perform electronic mail distribution (open, mail prep, scan, and distribute).

• Perform fulfillment functions, such as assembly, packaging, and kitted materials.

• Follow mailroom security procedures.

• Perform logging, transmission, receipt, and timely distribution of faxes.

• Deliver and pick up mail on scheduled runs.

• Recommend improvements to achieve cost savings and optimize workflow.

• Track, trace, and resolve mail problems or concerns.

• Monitor, order, and replenish supplies inventory.


What you will need to succeed:

• High School diploma or equivalent.

• 6 months to 1 year experience in a professional working environment.

• Experience in a client-facing environment.

• 1 to 2 years experience in a mailroom environment.

• Good communication, both written and verbal

• Self-motivated.

• Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and perform duties with minimal supervision.

• Ability to operate high-volume mail and insertion equipment.

• Able to be on your feet 80% of the time.

• Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

• Ability and willingness to learn.
