Job Description
Location: Markham – onsite
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Parts Coordinator to join our team in Markham, Ontario. The Parts Coordinator plays a key role in supporting service operations by managing parts inventory, coordinating orders, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring technicians and customers receive the parts they need in a timely manner.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and possesses strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, process, and track parts orders from customers, technicians, and internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source parts and ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels.
- Replenish inventory and place purchase orders as required.
- Verify incoming shipments and inspect parts for accuracy and condition.
- Research part availability, pricing, specifications, and alternatives.
- Prepare and process invoices, purchase orders, and shipping documentation.
- Coordinate returns, warranties, and core exchanges with suppliers.
- Support service technicians by ensuring required parts are available for scheduled work.
- Maintain an organized and safe parts storage area.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits.
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to inquiries and requests.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education is an asset.
- 2+ years of experience in parts coordination, inventory control, supply chain, logistics, or related industries.
- Experience using inventory management or ERP systems.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Forklift certification is considered a plus.
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting field service, automotive, heavy equipment, or industrial operations.
- Knowledge of inventory management best practices.
- Familiarity with vendor management and procurement processes.
